GOD'S POWER THROUGH A CHILD
by Jake Thomas

I went to church one Sunday, to take my little boy;
For I was curious to know why his heart was filled with joy.
He would get so excited when he talked about God's Day,
And about those who were the happiest, who were lost and found their way.
We sat and listened to the preacher tell how God could make you whole, And then I heard His Holy Spirit whisper to my soul.
I went down to the altar and fell upon my knees,
And I prayed, "Oh, God of Heaven! Set this sinner free!"
My burdens He then lifted, I'll never forget that day;
When God in all His glory, took my sins away.
I sensed someone nearby, and when I turned my head to see,
It was that little boy of mine who had touched me tenderly.
I reached out and drew him close, we both could hardly see,
And then I heard him whisper, "Daddy, I'm so glad you came with me!"
