"IN THE BEGINNING" by ARNETTA McCARTNEY
Before God began His creation the world was a void empty place. Only God’s Spirit was moving over the dark vapors of space. And God said, “Let there be light.” And the light began it’s display. God divided the light from darkness. Together they made the First day. God separated the vapors. He then made the sky and seas. Heaven and earth were complete now. The Second day He made all these. Then God said: “Let the earth bring forth grass and trees and plants that yield their seed.” Evening and morning was the Third day God saw this and was pleased indeed. On the Fourth day God made two great lights. The greater light to rule the day The lesser one the rule the night. He made the stars and Milky Way. God said, “Let the water yield fish! Let the birds fly above the earth He made the cattle and reptiles. On the Fifth day all the beasts had birth. Then God said: “Lets us make man in Our image. To rule the earth and sky and sea.” The God made man in His image. Male and female created He.” God blessed them and told them, “Now be fruitful and multiply And fill the earth and subdue it this is all yours to edify,” God looked over all He had done. And it pleased Him in every way. Heaven and earth were complete now. Thus God ended the Sixth day. When God was finished He rested. He rested from all He had made. He sanctified the Seventh day. And all His glory was displayed. In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. Genesis 1:1-31 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1 |
