ANNIE OF THE BIG TOP * PERFORMANCES ANNOUNCED

The year is 1944. World War rages in Europe and the Pacific. Sons and daughters, husbands and fathers, are fighting in the defense of freedom. On the homefront, Annie works to get an ill-fated radio drama on the air and faces an unknown future with a diverse group of friends and family, each confronting their own hopes and fears. Then, one day, the circus comes to town and it finally becomes apparent to all that nothing will ever be quite the same again.

It was a time when John Wayne was fighting the war on the silver screen and Ma Perkins and The Shadow ruled the airwaves. A day of rationing, Air Raid scares, Zoot Suits, dramatic radio, and simple family pleasures. Now, Oregon audiences will be able to step back through the years and get a ticket to The Greatest Show On Earth. This original theatrical production is filled with laughter, music, and heart-warming emotion designed to delight and entertain young and old alike.

Performances will be presented at area churches, Flinn's Theater in Albany, and other sites. For a complete performance schedule and information about ticket availability, contact the CBC office immediately.
